Round 4 of the Clare Gravel League is set for this Sunday, and it’s shaping up to be an epic finale for the 2024 season. The final round promises to be a nail-biting affair, with the weather playing a crucial role in how things unfold. With the title still up for grabs, Dan Bresnan, Mark Shannon, and Yan Tsymbal are all set to battle it out for the top spots, but don't rule out Robert Reidy—if Yan slips up, Reidy could sneak into 3rd and shake up the podium positions.Another battle worth watching is the fight for a spot in the top 10. Alan O'Keeffe, Eamon Keane, Karl Fogarty, and Joe Noonan are all pushing hard to secure their place in that coveted position, and it could all come down to the final stretch.As for the weather, it's your typical West Clare mix of wet and wild conditions. While the riders are all familiar with the course, the recent downpours have turned it into a different beast altogether. With rain softening the ground and adding extra challenge, riders will need to stay sharp and adapt quickly. And the wind? Forecasts predict consistent gusts of around 20 knots, which will make the outward leg particularly tricky. Expect plenty of echelons and tactical riding as riders try to shield themselves from the wind and gain an advantage.As with round 3, navigation and focus will be key—any lapse in concentration could make or break a rider’s chance for a top finish. The question on everyone’s mind: Who will rise to the top and claim the ultimate victory in this epic final round?
