Today, 11th November, is “Remembrance Day 2020”.
Six Years Ago, in November 2014, on the 100th Anniversary of the start of the Great War,
Kilkee Civic Trust unveiled a Memorial to those who sacrificed their lives from the Parishes of Doonbeg, Kilkee, Carrigaholt & Kilballyowen.
“They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old;
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.”
