John Morgan is a well known guest on Radio Beams — John talks about Kilfenora when he was a child. He goes through all the residents of the village in around 1956. His dad owned a small shop in the center of the village. His dad was 5ft 3 and played football with Kilfenora and in 1941 and 42 they won the county championship.
The National School was right across the road and in 1959 the new school was built at the other end of the village. John thought it was a long way. The Burren Center was built on the grounds of the old school and was built in 1972.
John talks about the world famous band Kilfenora Band as the lived next door to him as child. This is biggest love.
