She has delivered conference papers at Oxford; Lincoln College: Exploration of the Medieval Gaelic Diet: (2012); seminar papers at the Moore Institute in NUI Galway, ‘The Gaelic Lordships in Thomond, c. 1400-c.1500’ and papers at Irish Conference of Medievalists on themes of Brian Boru and landscape of East Clare. Lorna has published on medieval themes and on maritime subjects.

Lorna received her Certificate for the Advancement of Forensic Genealogy (CAFG) in Dallas in March 2015.

Reflections 17/12/17

A weekly 30-minute space for Christian prayer, song and devotion. It is presented by the Kilkee Prayer Group led by Anne Haugh and Kathleen Ryan and joined in by Donnie Dillon, Anne Marie Harte and Antonio Cebas. It is an invitation to engage in Christian worship through prayer and song, as well as to reflect on the lives of the Saints whose feast day we celebrate. All listeners at home are invited to add their own prayers and petitions and together with those of the group offer them in unison to the Grace of the Lord and our Blessed Lady.

The Voices for Cancer charity event which helps raise vital funds for cancer services in West Clare continues this year in St. Mary’s Church Carrigaholt with Choir groups from across West Clare. The event has garnered reputaion for it’s high standard amateur performances from all ages.
RCB board member Paddy Collins is Master of ceremony for the evening.
The time and energy invested from the organiser’s and participants was clear to see and hear.
RCB are proud to bring Voices for Cancer to the airwaves this Sunday 17th December at 1pm with the second half at the same time of 1pm on Sunday, Christmas Eve. The West Clare Mini Marthon Cancer Care Centre continues its fundraising into the New Year with its now, 20th Annual Mini Marathon walk on the 28th of January 2018 and Christmas Day Swim at Gortglass Lake in Kildysart, at 12pm sharp.
