Clare fans celebrate a great week for Clare Hurling with wins in last Thursday’s Clash with Waterford in the minor hurling, A win over Limerick last Friday in the U20’s hurling, Clare Senior hurlers beating Kilkenny to clinch their 5th League final victory on Saturday in Thurles and Clare Ladies football defeating Roscommon in the division 3 league final. Adrian chats with Seamus Hayes and Nicholas Rynne about those games and also the upcoming anticipated Munster clash between Clare and Limerick in two weeks time. The Genealogy Show – Child Labour


Lorna is a Professional Genealogist and Family Historian. She is a longstanding member of the Association of Professional Genealogist. Lorna is the Resident Genealogist for Dromoland Castle in County Clare. Lorna worked as Project Genealogist for George Boole *200 genealogy project for University College Cork and is an excellent researcher for Irish family histories.

Lorna produces and presents the successful show: ‘The Genealogy Radio show’ aired each Thursday at 4p.m. from beautiful Kilkee, Co. Clare at Raidio Corcabaiscinn and Podcasts are available weekly.

Lorna has delivered conference papers at Oxford; Lincoln College: Exploration of the Medieval Gaelic Diet: (2012); seminar papers at the Moore Institute in NUI Galway, ‘The Gaelic Lordships in Thomond, c. 1400-c.1500’ and papers at Irish Conference of Medievalists on themes of Brian Boru and landscape of East Clare. Lorna has published on medieval themes and on maritime subjects. Her research areas are the MacNamaras and O’Briens of Thomond.

Lorna received her Certificate for the Advancement of Forensic Genealogy (CAFG) in Dallas in March 2015.

Dr Aideen Hartney director of National Disability Authourity currently conducting researching on a potential end to the Ward of Court system to give the individual more responsibility and choice in the decision making process when a court makes the decision that someone is not able to look after their own affairs. The NDA are currently seeking research participants for research on the end of the Wards of Court system

They look at Clare’s win over Tipperary in the semi final of the National Senior Hurling League. They also look at Clare’s loss to Down in the Senior Football and also the U20’s loss in Quilty on Saturday and also the Ladies loss in the camogie and football over the weekend. The lads look ahead to the Allianz Hurling League Final between Clare and Kilkenny which takes place in Temple Stadium on Saturday the 6th of April at 7.15pm.
