Today on Community Unity , Andrew Killeen , Chairman of Doonbeg Drama Group speaks about the upcoming Drama Festival running from Saturday 11th to November 13th in Doonbeg.

Mairead speaks to Kevin Heapes Board Member of Querrin School CLG who are all set to revamp the Querrin School House, it will re-emerge as the Community Centre, and so kicking off with event on Turning The Lights Back On! November 26th – “Join us to celebrate the start of a new lease of life for the old schoolhouse as we transform this lovely building into our new Community Center. We will, with your help, be decorating our community Christmas tree while enjoying some live music and free refreshments. Visit the individual rooms and see what we are envisioning for each. There’ll also be a bake sale, a craft fair featuring local artists & more.”

For some inspiration we have two designers from two different businesses to blow away the grey cloud , and brighten the day , from Ennis Ciara Drennan , interior designer at Drennan Design who’s warm tones will soothe away the blues , blow away the grey clouds and leave us green the thought of a new room makeover, and staying on the same theme is Ruth Kennelly of RK Designs exhibitor at the Ideal Homes exhibition.

Denis Carty , president of the Clare branch of The Society of St. Vincent de Paul is on the line to speak about the SVP third level education and training bursery programme for people who may be financialy struggling to access or to stay in third level education or training.

Daithi O’Connell and Jenny Bassett are in the studio with Mairead speaking about the Kilkee Civic Trust Charlotte Bronte Kilkee Honeymoon Festival at The Kilkee Library starting tommorow, Friday evening from 7:30pm and continues on Saturday Morning from 11am with the Heritage Walk (see programme). Daithi can also be found regularly in seisiún at O’Maras bar and supplies the live music today.

Community Unity live this afternoon from 1:05 to 2:00pm with guests , Kim Thittichai filling us in after a visit to the Limerick hospital A&E left a good taste in the mouth, and Margaret McMahon of Ennis and Clare Samaritans who are looking for new volunteers to join the team and support the great work that the Samaritans do.
