In today’s Community Unity Show Teresa spoke to Jane O’Sullivan at Citizens Information Service , Kilrush about care packages available to people, Brian Clohessy joined us live to speak about keeping safe at Christmas, Brenda gave us the Community Announcements and what is happening in the West Clare area over the coming weeks.

Máiréad and Brenda spoke to John Aston about a Celebration of Loop Head Projects, due to take place this evening in the Community Centre, Kilkee, but has been postponed due to weather conditions until the new year.LT Strategy to Implementation Plan

Mairead then spoke to Elaine Ryan , CEO of Children’s Books Ireland who have launched their Annual Christmas Appeal asking the public in Clare to help them share the gift of reading with Children across Ireland in 2023. James picked some great music choices for today’s show.

In today’s Community Unity Show Máiréad spoke to Dermott Petty about his play ” 2 days in September ” which is on again in Miltown Malbay Community Centre on Saturday November 8pm.
Teresa spoke to Bernadine Carroll, Engagement Curator at Irish Architecture foundation about the Home Architect initiative calling on community groups and architects in Co Clare to team up and submit projects.
Teresa then spoke to Ann Finucane ( Librarian) in Culturlann Sweeney library here in Kilkee, and she told her about all the services that they offer to its members and what going on in the library.

On today’s Community Unity Show Teresa spoke to Mrs Clause about Christmas and Kim about the craft fair that was held at Halla Eoin. James and Brian speak to Joe Haugh about the victory of the Under 14 Doonbeg team who are the County Champions.

Máiréad speaks to Síle Concannon about the Feasibility Study launch for the Irish College in Carrigaholt that is on Friday 11th at 7pm and then spoke to Robert Tweedy from Kilkee sub Aqua Club who told her about how he got involved,
and what the Club does , how to get involved and training that is going on over the next few months.

On today’s Community Unity where we discuss all things community, we are at the Farmers Market in Kilrush. Brian Clohessy pops in live to the studio. We hear from Louise Reynolds from the Irish Nutrition and Dietetic Institute on tips for promoting healthy bones and avoiding osteoporosis following National Osteoporosis Day. Seamus Mac Mathúna is in to talk about the fourth annual Irish language festival in Miltown Malbay October 7 – 8. We hear all the community announcements in the area. Teresa chats with Jane O Sullivan from the Citizen’s Information Service who gives us a whistle stop tour of available benefits. Teresa also chats with Clare McGrath the Water Safety Officer about the accessible wheel chair for the beach here in Kilkee.
