Radio Beams show this week is with well known Shona Blake singer, writer and performer.
Born in Ennis , went to Dublin to study childcare. Learned to play music and loved the gigs in Dublin. Fell in love with her now husband a talented musician.
.Came back to live in Milltown Malbay.
Over the years she connected with song pals and developed her music. Complete to albums.
Shona along with owner Joe Beakey set up the Frozen Spoon Friday events

The Genealogy Show – Transgenerational Genealogy

Lorna is a Professional Genealogist and Family Historian. She is a longstanding member of the Association of Professional Genealogist. Lorna is the Resident Genealogist for Dromoland Castle in County Clare. Lorna worked as Project Genealogist for George Boole *200 genealogy project for University College Cork and is an excellent researcher for Irish family histories.

Lorna produces and presents the successful show: ‘The Genealogy Radio show’ aired each Thursday at 4p.m. from beautiful Kilkee, Co. Clare at Raidio Corcabaiscinn and Podcasts are available weekly.

Lorna has delivered conference papers at Oxford; Lincoln College: Exploration of the Medieval Gaelic Diet: (2012); seminar papers at the Moore Institute in NUI Galway, ‘The Gaelic Lordships in Thomond, c. 1400-c.1500’ and papers at Irish Conference of Medievalists on themes of Brian Boru and landscape of East Clare. Lorna has published on medieval themes and on maritime subjects. Her research areas are the MacNamaras and O’Briens of Thomond.

Lorna received her Certificate for the Advancement of Forensic Genealogy (CAFG) in Dallas in March 2015.

For some inspiration we have two designers from two different businesses to blow away the grey cloud , and brighten the day , from Ennis Ciara Drennan , interior designer at Drennan Design who’s warm tones will soothe away the blues , blow away the grey clouds and leave us green the thought of a new room makeover, and staying on the same theme is Ruth Kennelly of RK Designs exhibitor at the Ideal Homes exhibition.

Radio Beams guest this Tuesday is CEO of Clare Local Development Company Doirin Graham. Doirin started in Leader 1993 under Fr Harry Bohan.
Later became CEO.
Doirin talks about the hundreds of projects over the years. Leader funding comes out under the European CAP funding.
The company also looks after the funding for disadvantage groups. Called SICAP.
