On this week’s Community Unity show where we discuss all things community Teresa Glendinning receives a guided woodland walk from Kevin Heapes at Querrin Pure Camping, she also chats with the Ailish and Liz the custodians of Kilbaha Gallery and chats with Mags Cotter the Rural and Community Development officer with Clare County Council.

A weekly 30-minute space for Christian prayer, song and devotion. It is presented by the Brothers of Charity Group led by Antonio Cebas and joined in by Donnie Dillon, Anne Marie Harte Orla McMahon and Kathleen Ryan It is an invitation to engage in Christian worship through prayer and song, as well as to reflect on the lives of the Saints whose feast day we celebrate. We also hear from the Light House on the Hello Clare How are you campaign that took place in Kilrush. Denis Carty from the Saint Vincent De Paul charity on the difficulties facing households given the recent increases in the cost of living. Teresa takes us through her visit to Home Trees Charity whilst planting some trees in memory of some family members.

On this week’s Community Unity where we discuss all things community we hear from Liam Toland from Home Instead Care Limerick and Clare on the annual Essential Guide to Ageing Well 2022. Brian Clohessy is live in the studio to discuss the Loop Head Employment Fair taking place in Kilkee and other community events. We are also joined by Olive Halpin from the Clare charity Ray of Sunshine telling us about their work in Kenya hel ping young girls who have experienced severe trauma. Ray of unshine are looking fortradespeople to volunteer for a project in January 2023 and if you wish to volunteer you can reach Olive on 087 6994599.

Radio Beams – Palestine Ambassodor in Co Clare.

Radio Beams show this week is with the Palestine Ambassador to Ireland. She was on a recent visit to Ennis. She talks about the size of the population. Ireland export powered milk to Palestine. We import fruit from there. They have lived in crisis for decades and looking for support maintain their lands and build a quality of life for their people.

Community Unity

Join us today where we discuss all things community. We have some memories to relive of the Kilrush St Patrick’s day parade with Brian Clohessy together with some recordings of the event itself. We hear the community announcements of any events occurring in the locality. We also have some recordings from the St Patrick’s day parade held in Doonbeg on March 18th. Our latest recruit Teresa Glendinning, who joined RCB last week as a Broadcasting Assistant is in to introduce herself. Welcome aboard Teresa. Teresa will be getting into the heart of the community and over the weekend she caught up with local artist Kim Thittichai.

Orl Ni hEile of the Clare Immigrant support who have supported a lot of Ukrainian refugees in Clare so far.
This along with truck loads of goods to refugees in Poland and other countries.
