Lorna has delivered conference papers at Oxford; Lincoln College: Exploration of the Medieval Gaelic Diet: (2012); seminar papers at the Moore Institute in NUI Galway, ‘The Gaelic Lordships in Thomond, c. 1400-c.1500’ and papers at Irish Conference of Medievalists on themes of Brian Boru and landscape of East Clare. Lorna has published on medieval themes and on maritime subjects. Her research areas are the MacNamaras and O’Briens of Thomond.

Lorna received her Certificate for the Advancement of Forensic Genealogy (CAFG) in Dallas in March 2015.

Radio Beams show this Tuesday is with two well know artist Mick O Dea a renounced artist. Internationally and Ennis native.
Singer songwriter Michael Hanrahan another Ennis native.
Mick has his working hanging in the Glor gallery called Divided Loyalties about the time of the Black and Tans . Will hang there till January.
Mike Hanrahan featured on a film in Glor same day called The Crimson Warrior. Song about Mick painting. Both of theses men spoke to Radio Beams after. Funded by the Clare County Council

Usual mix of chat , music and guests. Teresa visited the Querrin Community Centre ‘Turning the Lights Back on’ Open Day on Sunday to meet some of the attendees and the organisers of the Open Day.
Padraig has the Community Diary of events for the area, and Sharron Meaney from The Clare Volunteer Centre is on the line to speak about the services offered to volunteers and organistaions alike, the centre acts as a volunteer hub for registered users to connect volunteers with a relevant organisaton appropriate to the registrant.
