Radio Beams show this week is with two well known people in Inagh Stax Green and Debbie Green who are well know for running Cosmic garden fests
Both from Devon and here 24 yrs. Passionate about music and rock and blues. Open to other types of music.
They set up a Surfing Club in Lahinch but it faded out after a few years.

Radio Beams – Frank Gunter has worn a number of hats in his 82 years.

Radio Beams this week is with well know Frank Gunter who in his 82 yrs has worn many hats.. Frank is from Loughrea and started a mental nurse in the UK then after a year came home to join the Gardai. Where he served with distinction . Rose to Superintendent until he retired.
Was very involved helping ex prisoners is getting jobs and housing.
He was well know in Ennis Toastmasters – Ireland and also know through Ireland for his skills in presentations. Was also a well know in parts of Europe in Toastmasters’
Social Housing in Inagh is one of his biggest legacy .Where his and other built a larger number houses for elderly people living in rural Inagh.

Radio Beams – David Slattery was a jockey in UK, then took up music.

Radio Beams show this week is with well know David Slattery.
David grew up in Clarecastle and emigrated to Uk AT 17 to take up the work as a jockey. While he enjoyed it and won two significant races he found it hard hard to keep the weight down. He learned a lot.
At 47 he came back.Bought a few horses but he got involved in music and epically the Jame Circle .
Now he has branched out and now making his own CDs.
He is developing his own following.

Radio Beams – Eileen Lahiffe 60 yrs in amature drama in Corofin, supported by husband Willie.

Radio Beams show Tuesday 27th of August is with well know Eileen Lahiffe. Amature Drama in Corofin. Supported by her husband Willie. It was Haulie Lahiffe who Directed her in the early years.
Eileen spend 60 years on the stage and played major parts in plays like Big Maggie and The Field by John B Keane. Eileen Directed a play her self named ” Who for Pudding.” She got best Director.
Corofin travelled to many many drama competitions around Ireland. Eileen won over 18 awards and more for various aspects of Drama.
Lots of great friendships were made over the years up and down Ireland.

Radio Beams – Richard Andreuceitti decided late in life to give his art full time attention.


Radio Beams show this week is with well known Richard Andreucetti .Artistic based outside Kildysart.
Member of a number Proffesional Association.
While he had qualified as a Stainlesteel engineer. His focus turned to art with metal work and silver.His work is abstract.
His art has sold abroad in a number of countries.

Radio Beams – Donal Clancy at 91 talks Farming and Football.

Radio Beams show Tuesday 30th of July is well know Donal Clancy .
Born in Kilnaboy but moved in recent years in the village of Corofin. Now 91yrs old talks about football and his farming life. Set up a football club in Kilnaboy and later amalgamated with Corofin GAA.
Was well known for bringing the creamery cans of farmers to the Creamery in Corofin.

Radio Beams – Pat Fitizgerald Retired Chair of Clare Gaa Board

Radio Beamsshow this week is with well know Pat Fitzgerald retired Clare Clare GAACounty Secretary.
Pat was born near Clonlare.Small farm.1st job barman in Limerick then Bunratty.Got a job in stores in Shannon Airport. Became very active in trade union. Led him been elected to Board of Aer rinta. which he tried hard to stop the break up of 3 airports breaking up.Leading to Shannon being a independent airport.
Pat better know for his strong role in change in Clare GAA.
Where he was County secretary during CLare winning 3 All Ireland ’95 ’97 ‘2013 wonderful joyful memories.

Radio Beams – Pat Talty Support staff at Bedford Row in Clare.

Radio Beams show this week is with well know Pat Talty who works with the Bedford Row project who deal with prisoners coming and going to prison in the Clare. He has a office based in Kilrush
Families and prisoners can contact him Bedford Rd during working Pat hours. Pat also works in the prisons in Limerick. On average 90 prisoners in Clare.

“We are Human Too” Ann Marie Flanagan Editor, Martin Tobin and Brian Hogan two of the 100 contributors.
