A Little Bit of Gardening – Ornamental Grasses

Ornamental grasses have the combined attraction of elegant habit, foliage and seed heads. They are all easy to grow and can be planted individually or in groups for an immediate effect.
Mixed grasses planted for contrasting effect can make a spectacular collection, especially when inter-planted with tall herbaceous and perennial flowers. This is known as ‘Prairie Style Planting’.
So that is what I thought we could look at today, Ornamental Grasses and Prairie Style Planting…..
Tune in at 7.30pm on Monday, or 5.30pm on Wednesday, to find out more. Or you can listen in on our webpage at rcb.ie at your own convenience….

All wear you Clare Colours

Clare Leader Forum is excited to announce the 3rd Disability Pride Parade, taking place on Friday, July 19th, from 11am just two days before the All-Ireland Final. In celebration, we will be dressed in Clare colours, proudly waving our flags for participation and inclusion.

The pride parade serves as a powerful reminder of our ongoing commitment to advocating for disabled people’s rights. This current government lied when it said it would ratify the optional protocol immediately in a bid to persuade the Electorate to vote Yes in the Care referendum which we knew would have been further harmful to our autonomy and rights within our families and society. We urge the next government to implement the Optional Protocol of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (UNCRPD). The delay has been unacceptable.

We continue to raise our voices about the pressing issue of people under 65 years old residing in nursing homes, both in Clare and nationwide. Currently, over 1,5000 individuals inappropriately placed in these facilities. This must change. €4 billion of taxpayers money spent in disability services and still we ask why are we the poorest and most marginalised in the country?

Join us in our march for inclusion, rights, and dignity for all.
