RCB (Raidio Corca Baiscinn) invites applications for the position of Part Time Accounts Administrator (19.5 hours per week). This position is funded under the Pobal Community Services Programme.
South West Clare Community Radio Limited By Guarantee T/A Raidio Corca Baiscinn
Duties include
· General book keeping – maintain financial accounts system, bank reconciliations and petty cash.
· Process payroll, ensure that staff wages are paid weekly and submit all PAYE/PRSI records to revenue.
· Liaise with the main funders in an administrative capacity.
· Ensure that RCB has a welcoming environment for users and visitors.
· Provide secretarial support (when required) to the management team.
· Prepare monthly financial reports maintain debtors /creditors ledger on Sage.
· Undertake other relevant duties as requested from time to time by the management team.
· Liaise with Volunteers and Community Organisations.
· Filing, photocopying and maintaining records.
Requirements
· Appropriate Education and Work/Volunteer experience.
· Previous book keeping experience.
· Experienced in wage system in particular CollSoft and Sage accounting package.
· Experience of dealing with and reporting to POBAL and other government organisations is desired.
· High level of computer literacy required.
· Have excellent written and oral communication skills.
· A desire to work within social programme goals of the Community Radio Station and an understanding of the Community Radio ethos.

Lorna has delivered conference papers at Oxford; Lincoln College: Exploration of the Medieval Gaelic Diet: (2012); seminar papers at the Moore Institute in NUI Galway, ‘The Gaelic Lordships in Thomond, c. 1400-c.1500’ and papers at Irish Conference of Medievalists on themes of Brian Boru and landscape of East Clare. Lorna has published on medieval themes and on maritime subjects. Her research areas are the MacNamaras and O’Briens of Thomond.
Lorna received her Certificate for the Advancement of Forensic Genealogy (CAFG) in Dallas in March 2015.
