Chatting to Ann Hayes on the Successfull Co Clare Fleadh Ceol in Kilrush at the weekend last, Eugene Costelloe on the Querrin Currach Regatta which is being held on Sat 27th of June at Querrin Pier, Lawence Downes of New York turned up in Querrin last week retracing his grandfathers footsteps and linking up with long lost relatives. Last Thursday I caught up with him at Pure Camping Querrin where he was staying with is wife Pat had a long chat with him on his link with Querrin, his work with NY Times and what it meant to him coming back to where his grandfather came from, and also had room to slip in a piece of music from the Fleadh Concert on Sat night at the Teach Ceol in Kilrush.
