The school is in the heart of the Community and is in fact is the community in the Parish of Cooraclare as there is no Church, Shop or Pub in this area.

The Children, teachers, parents and wider community attended the end of year mass on Wednesday June 26th 2014. This was a mass of thanks and farewell not only for the 6th class pupils but for the Clohessy Family who are leaving the community in July for a new life in Canada.
