We have experienced media professionals who are happy to share their skills with the public to help people get on air and express themselves in a progressive, friendly and welcoming environment.
Our basic training runs every six weeks and takes place over two sessions one lasting 3 hours and the other 5 on a Thursday evening and Saturday morning. This training is free and covers all introductory aspects of broadcasting including recording, presenting, scripting, editing and more. Once this training is complete you are ready to get ‘on air’.

QQI Level 3 in Media Expression – In this course participants will examine how the media works and how best to interact with the media to ensure their voice can be heard on issues that affect them. Course cost – €200
QQI Level 4 in Communication Skills for Community Organisations – this course will highlight the best ways for community groups to use the media to highlight their work and train participants on how to prepare a radio show showcasing the work of group. Course Cost – €300
Both courses are run over 10 weeks with one three hour session per week.
Full training in community radio production including media theory and technical production skills.
