We bring you further news of the Kilkee Arts Festival 2024.
The festival honours: Charlotte Brontë ~ Walking The Invisible ~ 1854 to 2024 ~ 170 Years later.
It will be hosted on Friday, 13th & Saturday, 14th & Sunday, 15th September 2024.
The venue is: Cultúrlann Sweeney, O’Connell Street, Kilkee, Co. Clare V15 P960

Admission to the entire programme of festival events is FREE of Charge.
A donations box will be available, throughout the festival, to assist the Kilkee Civic Trust in defraying essential and necessary expenses; which is In keeping with the Kilkee Civic Trust long-standing custom, for the Summer Talks Series & annual Arts In Focus evening, each year.









Kilkee Civic Trust is a non-profit organisation working to enhance the quality of life in Kilkee, and its hinterland, by preserving and promoting its cultural heritage, and so making it a more attractive place to live, work and invest.

All 2024 Talks are hosted at Cultúrlann Sweeney, O’Connell St., Kilkee.

Entry to all the Talks is Free of Charge.
All of our speakers give of their time and energy on a pro-bono basis.
The appreciation of the audience & is expressed by way of presenting each speaker with a Book Token at the end of each Talk.
A Donations Box is provided at all Talks to assist us in defraying necessary expenses.

Kilkee Civic Trust Summer Talks: Fionnuala Walsh – Cappa to California.

September 2013 Fionnuala was the first Irish Female to swim the Catalina Channel from Santa Catalina Island to San Pedro on the Californian mainland, see (below) (video here (8 Minutes).)  


Together with Ned Denison and Liz Fry both International Marathon Swimming Hall of Fame (IMSHOF) they completed the first ever group marathon: anti-clockwise around Anacapa Island (Santa Barbara, California 18km) in November 2016 see (below)video here (22 Mintues).

It will be launched in Ennis – on this coming Friday afternoon. 

The book is titled, “Manuel Di Lucia, You Only Live Once”.
