On Community Unity today where we discuss all things community, our first live guest Ann Marie Flanagan from Clare Leader Forum is in the studio to talk about the Empower on line celebratory and solidarity concert marking International Day of disabled people with the theme ‘Fighting for the rights in a post covid era’. Ann Marie talks about the disabled younger people who continue to be deprived of their liberty in nursing homes across our nation. Ann Marie also talks about the work of Clare Leader Forum and advocates for societal change to ensure the contributions of disabled persons are recognised and facilitated to reach their full potential.
