Kilkee Chamber of Commerce and Kilkee Civic Trust
Ennis Brass Band to play at 11 O’Clock Mass in Kilkee Church this Sunday 26th Aug.

Kilkee Civic Trust Newsletter

Kilkee Chamber of Commerce & Kilkee Civic Trust have invited Ennis Brass Band to perform in Kilkee on this coming Sunday 26th August.
The Band will play during 11am Sunday Mass, (26th August), and entertain us afterwards while marching, via O’Curry St., to Kilkee Bandstand, where the concert will continue.
This is a family friendly event; and it should evoke memories of those long-ago halcyon days when the Big Bands were a routine feature of Summer Holidays & Sundays in Kilkee.
Please spread the word; tell your families and friends, and, most importantly, please come along and enjoy the Big Band Sound of Ennis Brass Band!

I welcome this opportunity to say some special words of thanks to Fr. Gerry Kenny, Parish Priest, Kilkee, Sandra Eustace, Secretary at Kilkee Parish Office and Mark May, Choir Director for facilitating this event to coincide with 11am Mass on Sunday. The transportation of chairs to and from Kilkee Bandstand, for the band members, by Charlie & Fergal McGrath, (McGrath’s Fuels, Garden & Patio Centre), and also; to acknowledge the support of our co-sponsor, “Kilkee Chamber of Commerce” for so enthusiastically collaborating with us in this joint venture. Finally; to express our gratitude to Ennis Brass Band for returning to us again this year and thereby ensuring the relevance of our much-loved Kilkee Bandstand.
Every good wish,
Joseph McCloskey
Honorary Secretary,
