Minister Heather Humphreys announced a €164m funding boost for 30 rural regeneration projects nationally as she visited Loop Head Lighthouse in County Clare this morning. The lighthouse, which has benefitted from funds of up to €1m from the rural regeneration scheme, is now open for the 2024 season. 🙌Areas in the region benefitting from the funding include:🟡 𝗕𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆𝗵𝗮𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘀, 𝗖𝗼 𝗠𝗮𝘆𝗼 - €5.2m for the redevelopment of a derelict convent primary school building and grounds to provide a public library, enterprise hub and public park.🟡 𝗖𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗹𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵, 𝗖𝗼 𝗗𝗼𝗻𝗲𝗴𝗮𝗹 - €12.1m for a new central hub that will be transformative for the community.🟡 𝗘𝗻𝗻𝗶𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗲, 𝗖𝗼 𝗦𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗼 - €8.4m for the regeneration of key seafront areas including the redevelopment of the historic Cliff Bath House, upgrading of the Cliff Walk and redevelopment of a derelict building to provide a new community pavilion.🟡 𝗧𝘂𝗮𝗺 𝗖𝗼 𝗚𝗮𝗹𝘄𝗮𝘆 - €3.6m for the Town Hall redevelopment as a multi-purpose community facility.https://loom.ly/3YWl_TE Department of Rural and Community Development #OurRuralFuture @followers ...
